Position requires a detailed knowledge of RF and Microwave filter synthesis. Experience in lumped element, and transmission line design. Realization of microwave filters in planar and three-dimensional forms. Will develop and implement into production products with emphasis on extending the frequency range of our product. There will be opportunity to work on higher level devices such as switched filters, tunable filters and frequency conversion products. Resourceful individual will interface with suppliers in the development of components for new products and customers with new technology requirements.
Requirements:
Individual should have strong background in CAD using electromagnetic analysis. MSEE with +5 years experience preferred.

| RF/Microwave/Filter Design Engineer:

Microwave Design Engineer with Specific Filter Design Skills to support the growing filter/passive product team within the RF&E Departments. The day to day tasks will include the design of all types of RF & microwave filters for space products. The specification, design and testing of next generation filtering technologies for digital and analogue processor payloads is a central part of this R&D and as such the successful candidate will be involved in leading edge filter technologies.The successful candidate will report to the filter group leader who in turn will report to the engineering manager.The candidate will be required to support the RF&E commercial team from time to time for the passive content of any bids.Qualifications and/or Skills Essential: HND or Degree in electronics Desirable: Familiarity with ADS Design Tools and MSOffice, Masters Degree in Microwave Electronics.Previous Experience Essential: 5 Years relevant electronic design experience in Space/Defense/Aerospace/Telecom Environment Desirable.

| Sr. R&D RF/Microwave Engineer - Wireless:

The RF/Microwave Engineer will be a member of the company’s core design team, leading the design of RF/Wireless test and measurement equipment. The candidate will use knowledge and experience of RF/Microwave theory and design to develop state of the art designs to meet market needs. He/She will use in-depth knowledge of RF/Wireless communications systems and RF/Microwave test equipment to make successful recommendations regarding technology development, meeting market requirements and design cost targets. The candidate will also lead and coach more junior engineers at the circuit design level.The candidate should be a self-starter and require minimum supervision.
Requirements:
1) Must be proficient in either Agilent ADS or Eagleware Gensys for the design of microstrip/stripline/GCPWG filters, couplers, amplifiers etc on PCB materials at frequencies up to and beyond 10 GHz.
2) Must understand and be able to design low noise VCO’s and PLL circuits in the 1-10 GHz range. Must understand Fractional N synthesis.
3) Must have system level experience in designing low noise high dynamic range frequency converters on printed circuit boards. Must have hands-on experience with synthesizer-based RF/Microwave designs including multi-loop PLLs.
4) Must understand frequency mixers and all their associated pitfalls.
5) Must be a hands-on person. That is, know how to design, bring-up and troubleshoot complicated, elusive RF/Microwave problems and circuits from DC to 20 GHz. Experience in using various types of RF/Microwave test equipment to troubleshoot complicated, elusive RF/Microwave problems is a must.
6) Experience with related digital control or signal processing hardware is desirable. (FPGA/CPLD and DSP filter/system design experience). Familiarity with programming CPLDs and understanding DSP filter design at a minimum.
7) Must be able to wear multiple hats: Manufacturing engineer, design engineer, test engineer, PCB designer.
8) Must have worked on microwave designs where extremely low cost as well as high performance was required.
9) Must understand how to introduce a product that may be manufactured overseas.
10) Must be able to guide imbedded firmware engineers in implementing code to control RF and digital hardware.
11) Must have proven track record of quality products developed in short time frame schedules.
12) Must be a good team player as well as someone who can take ownership of their own and possibly others designs independently.
13) Must be able to work in a startup like environment.
Qualifications:
• BSEE or equivalent required with 8+ years direct experience in development, design and support of RF/Microwave circuits and products.
• Specific experience in radio transmitter and receiver or test and measurement products.
• MSEE with 10 years experience preferred.
