Anatech Electronics offers Duplexers and Diplexers in different technologies, from cavity duplexers, LC diplexers and duplexers, Ceramic duplexers, and SAW duplexers. The terminology Duplexers and Diplexers has been fuzzy since the advent of wireless communication, For the purpose of discussion a Duplexer is when two band pass filters are duplexed, meaning one common input, and two output (reverse is also correct , two inputs and one output). Usually the Duplexer will duplex a receiving and transmitting signal using two band pass filters, one common input (or output), and two outputs (or inputs), and is a three port device. A diplexer will refer to a duplexed High pass and low pass where a broadband transmit and receive is necessary, it is also a three port device with a common input and two outputs.
